These American made military issue watches are of a high quality and were issued to the British Military in WWII.
Case: Nickel steel case with chrome screw back and front. Showing wear to the plating and some marks commensurate with age. Front and rear covers screw on securely with nice smooth threads with bow and onion type crown winder. The case back shows brassing with wear and is stamped with the broad military arrow mark and the lettering GSTP and numbered A108196. Inside back of case is a watch repairers marking near outer rim and stamped centrally on the inside is Keystone Base Metal Cased and Timed by Elgin National Watch Co. and serial number 83344.
Dial : Black enamel dial face in very good condition with arabic numerals and minute markers on the outside chapter ring. Central diamond hands are working and set properly. A subsidiary seconds dial is present with white hand at the 6 o'clock position. A new unbreakable type glass has just been fitted to the watch face. Dial face is marked Elgin.
Movement : Good quality movement with serial number 41379634 with nickel damaskeening. 3/4 plate going barrel with pendant wind and set.
