U.S. WWI Allied Victory Medal complete with ribbon and 2 Battle Clasps attached.
The Victory Medal also known as the Allied Victory Medal, as allied nations agreed to issue a standardised medal and ribbon to their forces to avoid a mass exchange of medals between them. They all bear a symbolic figure of victory and the same rainbow coloured ribbon. The reverse dates are 1914-19 to include post war intervention in the Russian Civil War.
The US version is the only version which awards battle clasps to the existing medal for individual battles fought
The medal is Bronze gilt-washed and approximately 5,725,000 were issued.
