Dial: White enamel dial in good condition but with hairline cracks from centre then spreads from 10 to 11 o'clock and over. Roman numerals with minute markers on outer chapter ring. Gold central spade hands present. Subsidiary dial present with blued steel sweep hand. Key wound and key set with No.3 key (not supplied).
Movement: The movement is fitted with an unusual complete circular dust band cover which fits around the perimeter only, as usually seen on old American watches. On removal, you will find the insides are looking like new! It is signed J and L Le Mole which dates to circa 1876 and also 87 High Street Birmingham and separately engraved Foggs Patent and Serial Number 930889. It is a going barrel English lever movement with round pillars. All screws are blued steel. It has a compensated balance with gold screws with a diamond endstone. The balance cock is highly decorative and engraved to a very high standard. All in all a high quality movement finished to a very high standard.
